Week # 31. New food & service!



Hello Everyone! Hope you're all doin swell this lovely day.

This week was pretty wild and it came and went so fast! We had some way fun exchanges this week with the other Elders! A little bit of finding and messaging on Facebook and a couple walks! Pretty much sums up exchanges over here right now haha But hey I got to drive for the first time without my normal companion so that was prcool

We got to do our favorite service this week! Theres this soup kitchen/food pantry that we go move boxes of food with the other elders and joke around with the guy that runs the place. Hes actually so nice and always says "whatever looks nice, take it" Man we all sure love Billy. Free food might be all it takes

I was feeling like trying food this week (Mom knows I'm a little picky) so we went to this Brazilian restaurant and it was probably one of the best meals I've had in a long time haha So if anyone is picky, I'd suggest just trying a new food every once in a while haha

Little update on the weather here: it's still freezing. We had a couple snow storms and I'll tell ya what, they sure do look nice from the inside haha But we got to do a little bit of spontaneous service this week and shovel some cars out that were stuck! It was honestly so much fun! Service can cure any bad mood I've found out

I'm not sure if I've shared this scripture before haha 

Mosiah 27:29 My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity. I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was racked with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more

I love how Alma describes the atonement! Especially the correlation with the darkest abyss and the Marvelous Light of God. I've seen the atonement work miracles in my life and I'm so grateful for the Savior and that He died just to save me. I know that each of you can feel these same things in your life!

Well hope yall have a great week! Dont forget to pray (2x a day) and read the Book of Mormon every day (its honestly a super cool book, I'd suggest you pick up a copy)!

Week # 84. Other cities & conference!

Hello Everyone! This week we had some good experiences so we can just hop right in!  We found that some earlier sisters had worked in a smaller city outside the main city and we decided that we we're gonna go out there and give it a go! I'll just say that was the best decision ever haha we basically got to knock doors for 5 hours straight to a bunch of people that were super willing to hear about Jesus. At one point we got to a house where this lady was washing clothes so we went up, introduced ourselves and asked if we could come back another day because she was busy and she goes, no no! Please sit down! I could never turn away representatives of Christ. My mind was blown!!! Week # 90. Weddings & New Friends!

Olááá Everyone!! We had some miracles this week!! First and foremost, our convert who got baptized two weeks ago, brought his whole family to church!! We were so proud of him!! We immediately went over and talked with them all and our convert goes "so let's mark some lessons right now, and let's have at least two lessons a week." I was so excited!! Not one but two lessons this week!! Then the coolest thing, we got to give him the priesthood :') It really made me remember of when I got it back at 12 and I had so many feelings!! This church is so true!! With the couple that's always so apt to change, we had a stressful week!! So we needed to take them into the city building with like 20 documents for EACH of them so we can get them married! Some how, by a miracle from God, they didnt have any problems!! Week # 88. Three Separate Beings

Olá tudo mundo!! This week we taught a few more reinforcement lessons to our friends who are struggling with the word of wisdom, but these lessons were so good!! For one of our friends we talked about the vision of the tree of life. And when I shared what I thought, I talked about the verse that says: "And after they had tasted of the fruit they were ashamed, because of those that were scoffing at them; and they fell away into forbidden paths and were lost." So from that i talked about how it is the same with us! When we start to get a testimony of something, we learn that not following through with that thing is going down a forbidden path! And then that line "were lost". So SCARY! Basically I told him that now that he is gaining a testimony, he gets to have more blessings but live at a higher standard!
