We wanted you to know that your son, Elder Bollar, has been called to be a trainer to one of our new missionaries. The calling of a trainer is the most important leadership position in the mission and one that is extended to only our trusted and effective missionaries. The role of a trainer has more influence on the future success of a missionary than any other single factor, including their experience at the Missionary Training Center. For this reason your son has been selected to play a key part in laying a firm foundation for this new missionary.

 

Elder Bollar. has been called to this position of trust and responsibility because of his outstanding example of faith, diligence, obedience, and his ability to teach the gospel. Dear New Hampshire Manchester Mission Parents:

We hope it has been a magnificent weekend, General Conference definitely offered so much good news! We have been spiritually well fed.

The New Hampshire Manchester Mission is staying healthy this week. We continue to comply with our states and have not seen any cases of Covid-19 in our missionaries. We know you may have seen other missions that seem to be living day-to-day mission life quite differently than your missionary. We have church leadership that is watching individual areas in the world. They not only watch the health statistics of this pandemic in each mission boundary, but also they are aware of the social concerns and acceptances in different parts of the world. What might be completely acceptable in one state might bring anger and offense towards missionaries and the church in another. We are grateful for the information and support we are given, and will continue to show these amazing missionaries our trust in leadership and our desire to keep them safe.

We continue to set goals and watch miracles happen daily, with increasing numbers as we do our best to faithfully serve during this time of question and confusion to so many. We are serving and functioning on a full-time mission daily schedule. We have felt privileged to witness such strength and growth in these missionaries as they draw closer to the Savior and lose themselves to fulfill His purpose.

We continue to receive more service opportunities each week, and want their communities to recognize the missionaries as contributors of service to the society in which they live.

Your support and enthusiasm towards all the good they offer the world during such a unique time is appreciated. They are truly changing lives and are a beacon of light to those seeking for truth and light.

Dear New Hampshire Manchester Mission Parents:

 

We hope you are all doing well, and finding special and strengthening experiences through your New Hampshire Manchester Missionary.

 

We have been watching the weather and are making preparations for what looks like a hurricane coming the way of our mission.  We have previously maintained a two week supply of foods in all missionary apartments.  They are all checking to make sure of their needs for the next few days.  We have emergency plans in place, and will have a zoom meeting this morning, Saturday, August 21st, to go over them.  We do not anticipate the storm will reach our mission boundaries until later tomorrow in the early evening.  All missionaries will be prepared with necessary food, water, flashlights, tanks of gas, and contacts near by if needed for evacuation.  They have been asked to work in the safety of the apartments throughout the time of concern.

 

We love these amazing missionaries, and we are so grateful to serve with them.  We pray for your health and safety as well, and encourage you to be able to enjoy your missionary’s experiences by being here with him/her through all they share in letters, emails, and phone calls.  Thank you for sharing them.

Dear New Hampshire Manchester Mission Parents:

 

Thank you very much for your prayers in our behalf!  The hurricane dropped to a tropical storm before it hit our mission boundaries.  The storm has now passed us, all missionaries are safe, the power is on, and all missionaries that were moved from their areas have returned.  Perfect, it is Preparation Day!  They will be able to communicate with you, and prepare for their upcoming transfer.

 

We appreciate all your support.  It has definitely been an exciting time to serve the Lord.  The missionaries are constantly finding new approaches to reaching those of our brothers and sisters seeking truth, and recognizing the direction of the Spirit in their work.  Covid-19 continues to be a concern.  None of our states have placed new mandates,  only suggestions.  As representatives of the church, we are striving to be good citizens and respect the health and concerns of those around us.

 

Your missionaries are amazing young people!  They are being recognized on the streets by the videos and photos they have been sharing through FaceBook.  People are actually stopping us to ask questions!  Whether they are newly arriving missionaries or have been here during our months of isolation, they are all still growing hard.  Your communications with them can be such a powerful lift.  Your enthusiasm for where they currently are living and what they are doing buoys them immensely.  They all have miracles to share and love to share them.  We pray that this time it may be a strength to all your family as you hear of their experiences here in New England.

 

We pray for the good health and well-being of your dear families.

Week # 84. Other cities & conference!

Hello Everyone! This week we had some good experiences so we can just hop right in!  We found that some earlier sisters had worked in a smaller city outside the main city and we decided that we we're gonna go out there and give it a go! I'll just say that was the best decision ever haha we basically got to knock doors for 5 hours straight to a bunch of people that were super willing to hear about Jesus. At one point we got to a house where this lady was washing clothes so we went up, introduced ourselves and asked if we could come back another day because she was busy and she goes, no no! Please sit down! I could never turn away representatives of Christ. My mind was blown!!! So we got to have a super amazing lesson with her right there At another door that we clapped, this older man of probably 80 years old life in him opened his window and we introduced ourselves and then he opened the front door and his son hurried to the door and was like "hey who are you guys!" Week # 90. Weddings & New Friends!

Olááá Everyone!! We had some miracles this week!! First and foremost, our convert who got baptized two weeks ago, brought his whole family to church!! We were so proud of him!! We immediately went over and talked with them all and our convert goes "so let's mark some lessons right now, and let's have at least two lessons a week." I was so excited!! Not one but two lessons this week!! Then the coolest thing, we got to give him the priesthood :') It really made me remember of when I got it back at 12 and I had so many feelings!! This church is so true!! With the couple that's always so apt to change, we had a stressful week!! So we needed to take them into the city building with like 20 documents for EACH of them so we can get them married! Some how, by a miracle from God, they didnt have any problems!! It all went very smooth:) but then when they asked for my ID I whipped out my Utah Drivers license and they said that wasnt valid and I was like "are you ki...

Week # 88. Three Separate Beings

Olá tudo mundo!! This week we taught a few more reinforcement lessons to our friends who are struggling with the word of wisdom, but these lessons were so good!! For one of our friends we talked about the vision of the tree of life. And when I shared what I thought, I talked about the verse that says: "And after they had tasted of the fruit they were ashamed, because of those that were scoffing at them; and they fell away into forbidden paths and were lost." So from that i talked about how it is the same with us! When we start to get a testimony of something, we learn that not following through with that thing is going down a forbidden path! And then that line "were lost". So SCARY! Basically I told him that now that he is gaining a testimony, he gets to have more blessings but live at a higher standard!
